AuSM, ASA and AMC Entertainment have teamed up to bring families affected by autism and other disabilities a special opportunity to enjoy their favorite films in a safe and accepting environment.  In order to provide a more accepting and comfortable setting for this unique audience, the movie auditoriums will have their lights brought up and the sound turned down, families will be able to bring in their own gluten-free, casein-free snacks, and no previews or advertisements will be shown before the movie.

Additionally, audience members are welcome to get up and dance, walk, shout or sing - in other words, AMC¹s ³Silence is Golden®² policy will not be enforced unless the safety of the audience is questioned.  Tickets can be purchased the day of the event.  Click for Details.

Support FACT:   Consider Donating Lending Library Materials

Do you have books or other autism-related materials that you are no longer using?  Consider donating them to our lending library.  It is also possible to retain ownership and make the items available for sharing.  The materials that helped you out as you began your journey in the world of autism can help out another family that is just beginning its journey.  Materials can be obtained and returned outside of our meetings.  Contact HopkinsFACT@comcast.net or simply bring materials you wish to donate / share to a meeting.
